It’s time again to start prepping, purple pals for the kids at Camp Brainstorm! Last year, thanks to YOUR hard work, and generosity we were able to supply every single camper, volunteer and EFCST staff member with a handmade, purple ninja. At various epilepsy events, I still get parents coming up to me saying, how much Purple Stitch Project’s gift meant to their child. Warms my heart!
Well folks, I’d like to call you to crafty-action again. To have a plushie waiting on each camper’s bunk when they arrive, we’ll need lots of stitching help. Can we count on you? Here are the details:
WHAT: Knit, crochet or sew ANY plushie (animal, toy, object). You can use a pattern of your own, one that you’ve purchased, or any of our free patterns housed on Craftsy. The only stipulation is that the plushie have at least some purple in it (doesn’t matter which shade.)
NOTE: Since many of the campers will be returning , we ask that you NOT make the same ninjas as last year for this event. We will however, happily place any ninjas received in the bin to go out to non-camper kids with seizure disorders.
WHEN: Camp plushies due to Purple Stitch Project HQ, by no later than June 1, 2013.
WHERE: Plushies should be mailed to:
Purple Stitch Project
9901 Brodie Ln.
Ste. 160, Box 268
Austin, TX 78748
Need inspiration? Look at just a few of the faces of last year’s PSP recipients. Like the turtle in the image on this page? Get the free pattern for it on Little Muggles.com!

As always, thank you for all that you do!
xx,
Vickie
P.S. As the warmer weather comes upon us, we can’t use beanies, scarves and other garments for gifts (we’ll save ‘em for Fall) — so, we’re in dire need of more plushies — ninjas, animals, objects — to go out to hospitals and individuals ranging in age from 0-21. Pass it on!
